Handbook for Life: 52 Tips for Happiness and Productivity

Here are a couple tips for adopting the tips:

  • Pick and choose the tips that will be most useful to you. There are 52 tips here — not every single one will be useful to every person. I hope you’ll find 10 that are useful, or that are reminders of something you’ve been wanting to do.
  • Don’t do them all at once. Choose one tip to do first, and then do them one at a time. Focus on one first, and then the next. It’s too hard to try to adopt a bunch of changes at once.
  • Experiment. Try out a tip, and if it doesn’t work, try another. Life is an experiment, after all.
  • None are guaranteed. But many are very likely to bring happiness.
  • Also, these are not in any order. Some of the most important are buried below.

Little Things Make the Difference

Focus on the goal

Everyday choices compound over time—for better or for worse.

How many times have you given up on something because you didn’t see any progress? We’ve all done it. We live in an instant-gratification culture, and the lack of visible results can be highly discouraging… so disheartening that the tendency is to throw in the towel.

You walk every day for 30 minutes during your lunch break for a week or two, but the scale doesn’t budge.

You hold your tongue with your spouse, determined not to spit out a sarcastic comment… but they keep acting in the same boneheaded way.

You pay a little extra on your credit card, or bump up your contribution to your 401(k) for a few months, but the impact on your balance is negligible.

So why not go back to reading novels at lunch, saying the first stinging remark that comes to mind or spending your hard-earned money? Those little things aren’t enough to make a real difference, right?

In a world filled with hate, we must still dare to hope. In a world filled with anger, we must still dare to comfort. In a world filled with despair, we must still dare to dream. And in a world filled with distrust, we must still dare to believe.

Capable Being

24 Jun

Man often becomes what he believes himself to be. If I keep on saying to myself that I cannot do a certain thing, it is possible that I may end by really becoming incapable of doing it. On the contrary, if I have the belief that I can do it, I shall surely acquire the capacity to do it even if I may not have it at the beginning.

How To Generate Massive Self-Confidence In Minutes Using Self Esteem Affirmations

23 Jun

When is the best time to generate self-confidence for the day ahead?

The moment you wake up!

As you wake up in the morning take charge of your thoughts in that early morning awareness before you fully awake.

Do this before you get up out of bed by repeating some self esteem affirmations. Affirmations work very well WHEN you say them with strong feelings in a state of deep relaxation.

If you have heard about affirmations before and never got the maximum benefit from them it is because you did not know how to take what ia a very ordinary approach and supercharge it.

Motivation & The Power of Not Giving Up (Part 1)

Check in with your goal. Now that you’ve broken your goal down into a series of mini-goals and daily tasks, check in every day.

It helps to write down your small goals in the same way you wrote down your big goal. That way you can track what you need to do, check off tasks as you complete them, and enjoy knowing that you’re moving toward your big goal.
