Love is in the Air…

24 Aug

While some people may over  look the idea of being in a happy relationship a dream, we sure didn’t. Dreams come in all shapes and sizes so we didn’t want to leave out those who are looking to build a better relationship with the one they love. Christopher Lee Espinal shares his story, tips and advice on why he’s latching on tight to this red head beauty!
I honestly could not begin to write the ten commandments for a great relationship. I could try but it would be planned and organized and that really isn’t what a relationship is about. I think the key to my current relationship is the fact that we are very spontaneous and also because I know my Lover-Rama-Mama for almost four or five years now. I think our friendship before our relationship had a lot to do with the success of us actually being together. This helped tremendously because we kind of already knew what the hot and cold buttons for each other were. I think it helps when people can break through the ice of a first encounter on a platonic level before becoming intimate physically or mentally. It helped us a lot. I knew after three years of being friends what makes her laugh and what she enjoyed or didn’t enjoy and once I knew that I just kind of played along. I think it is important when two people fully understand each other: what they expect from a relationship and what the boundaries are. As friends, the conversation is much more open and free. That’s how I found out all of this vital information that helped me lock her up! (I’m kidding I still don’t know everything).

Emily Munoz – Pushing Forward

20 Aug

After having her first attack in December of 2006, Emily Munoz was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. After waking up one morning with the left side of her face numb, she assumed that she ate something the night before and caught an allergic reaction. Letting the day go by and the next morning she woke up with the same numbness and a huge headache, all on the left side of her face and head. Worried of course, she called her mom to find out what could it be.

“I called all of my close friends and them being as worried as I was they demanded that I go to the hospital, so I did. After having an MRI done, I was told it looked like I had MS, Multiple Sclerosis. I had no idea what exactly that meant because I was one of the millions who knew nothing about MS unfortunately. I spent 5 days hospitalized, I was given some steroids to help the numbness go away. On Christmas Eve I was sent home and was able to spend Christmas with my family.”

Push Forward Quotes

We asked and we received!  Recently we called out to our PushyDreamers on twitter to tell us what quotes inspire, keep them motivated and why? Thank You @ShhDontTellNE1

There are two types of people who will tell you that you cannot make a difference in this world: Those who are afraid to try and those who are afraid that you will succeed. –Ray Goforth

This is a fav because it just seems so true.  You always have to wonder what someones motives are any time they try to hinder things you’re doing that can have a positive effect on your life.

“Courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the judgment that something else is more important than fear”

This is a fav because any time I find myself nervous about a new venture I have to remind myself that I’m doing this for my future and that things really aren’t as scary as they seem.

Caroline & Irina – Pushy Dreamers

17 Aug

What happens when two dreamers get together to build an online site?  Evve Online - a dream that not only gets bigger, but has twice the push to make it happen. You may remember Irina from a previous post we did on her futuring her t shirt line “Sugah” now she’s back and not alone. Say hello to Caroline and see what these two partners are up too, what tips and advice they have to share to help us move our dreams along.

How did you and Caroline meet?

Caroline: We met on our first day at the Fashion Academy, ten years ago. I walked into the classroom, expecting fashionista’s and stylish barbiedolls, but was shocked to find out the classroom was filled with skaters and gothics; not what I expected! The only ‘normal looking’ girl (wearing leopard skin pants), was Irina, who was sitting at a desk with a free seat next to her, so I decided I should sit next to her ha ha.

Irina:  yeah, I would have to go with her story.  Since it was the first day of school we had like a little lunch with the new class.  She sat next to me and asked me to pass the milk..next thing I know we’ve passed ten years and she still sitting next to me! She still makes fun of my leopard pants by the way.

How to Make a Million Dollars

Millionaire Success Stories

by Lee Ann Obringer for Howstuffworks.com

If you’re feeling overwhelmed by the number of steps to take on your way to making a million dollars, check out these stories of ordinary people who became millionaires.

Neil McCarthy

Neil McCarthy started investing in the stock market when he was 34, in the 1970s. Today he has a net worth of about $2.1 million. When stocks went down, he bought more. He contributed the maximum to both his IRA and his 401(k) and his employer matched 100 percent. That’s truly free money — no risk. The big payoff came during the 1990s bull market when his stock doubled in three or four years, suddenly reaching $1 million.

He avoided technology companies because it didn’t make sense to him. He saw price-earnings ratios of 200 to 300 and “thought it was absolute nonsense.” This practical investing style saved his millionaire status when the market crashed. When he retired in 2000, McCarthy took his retirement payout as a lump sum. Just before interest rates started to fall, he invested part of the money in an immediate annuity and earned a bigger payout than if he had chosen the company’s pension annuity.

His number one piece of advice that made all the difference is this: “If you wait to save out of what’s left over from your salary, it’s not going to happen. Pay yourself first.”

Your Mind

” Your mind is a pot of thoughts and your attitude is the aroma of your thoughts. The great winners in life have one thing common: great attitudes.” -Khulani Chiliza
