My names Preach and I’m going to tell you the truth. I am a comedian. Been one all my life. I just didn’t know it until 2007. Life is funny like that. No matter how hard you run away from what you are it will follow you no matter what. I didn’t start to perform until 3 years ago. I did the whole “safe” path thing. Got my bachelors at North Carolina A&T. Got my MBA at University of Phoenix.The whole time I felt the gnaw of my “real” self the whole time in the pit of my soul.

I grew up in a VERY spiritual household so I always relate everything back to God. He didn’t allow us to go thru the sheer trauma of birth to live a life of mundaness. Doing comedy has allowed me to discover a few things. The graveyard is the richest place on earth. Its full of forgotten dreams, legacies, and brilliance. Fear is the most crippling thing ever created. Fear of failure and fear of success are most peoples driving forces. To succeed in life you allow yourself to the freedom of knowing that you have absolutely NO control over the next 5 seconds. Free yourself from the misinformed thought that you can make the world bend to your whims. Mistakes happen, there never is a “right” time or perfect time for anything, . The beauty of pursuing your dreams is that even if you don’t get exactly what you want you get exactly what you need.

Pursuing dreams is a responsibility not just a gift or luxury even. When you are tuned into your own potential you radiate strength. This energy if nurtured allows others to go forward and achieve their own goals. The beauty of life is often hid behind the darkness of the mundane. This darkness causes us to be blind to the light that living  up to your potential creates.  Doing comedy is not just a career to me. Its what makes me see the world for what it could be. Hearing laughter makes my soul smile. Knowing that laughter could ease frustration and pain.  Sharing your gift is what makes the world radiate. Pushing thru the downtime and set backs makes you stronger in ways unimaginable. YOU have to believe in your dream and tap into the raw ,unadulterated passion that makes you work a little longer, harder and better than everyone else. Dreams are the lifeblood of the universe. Dreams are the language of ancestors wanting you to be what they never could. Dreams are what wakes you up from the matrix and stop existing and start LIVING.
