“Finding Your Identity In God”
During adulthood many of us search for a sense of identity. Whether it’s through the friends we associate with or the career path we choose, we all search for a foundation in which we can define ourselves. The foundation of your identity is ultimately seen through the lifestyle choices you make. But what is your foundation? Is it your education? Your family? Your career? Personal fitness? Political views? The car you drive? The house you live in? What is it? And where does God fit in to
all of this? Is He just an aspect of your life? I ask these questions, because many of us allow God to be an aspect of our lives, and not the foundation. Through allowing God to be the foundation of your life you allow others to see less of you, and more of Him. Also, with finding your identity in God you are able to better understand His purpose for your life, and not just live in vain. The more you realize that this life is not your own, the more you will grow closer to God and understand His will for your life.
Tips: 1. Start understanding who God is. This can be done through spending quality
time with Him through prayer and reading the bible. 2. Start surrounding yourself with like-minded individuals who are seeking
God’s will, because you are the company you keep. 3. Ask God to help you understand your purpose. 4. Align your dreams with God’s will.

This is powerful, it should be common knowledge & yet so many believers are still walking around without knowing their identity in God. And even worse other believers have found their purpose & have left God for the parade of their success which was only made possible by Him (God).
