Meditation has been practice for centuries all over the world. Meditation is a practice that is said to bring balance to the mind, body and spirit allowing a person to relax, have clarity to make better choices, raise energy and become mindful of behavior patterns that can lead to a solution. You don’t have to be a yogi or guru to meditate, you simply have to have a quite space and open mind.
What does mediation have to do with dreams? Everything. One of the reasons people don’t achieve their dreams is due to the distractions of stress, uncertainty and fear. By allowing ourselves to sit quietly with our thoughts, we can learn to gain a deeper control of who we are and move toward what really we want.
Dedicated at least 15 minutes in your day aside for some peace and inner connection. It helps to set your alarm or a timer (from your phone if you can). Begin by concentrating on your breathing going in and out like a source of light. Be creative, if your thoughts start to steer in a negative direction (which the may) calmly steer them in a more positive direction. If this is new to you, don’t give up. This is not something that comes to us naturally and will take time to master. If your thoughts continue to steer, which they will do, try repeating an affirmation to help raise your energy, focus and awareness.
See what comes up for you on your discovery. Every journey worth learning about yourself is a step closer to your dreams.
